چکیده

Melasma, which is thought to be associated with hyperactivation of melanocytes, a common hyperpigmentary skin disorder. To treat this disorder, dermatologists can benefit from in vivo information cellular morphometrics evaluate pathologies melasma and effectiveness treatments. acquire useful information, we applied the slide-free label-free harmonic generation microscopy (HGM) retrieve real-time HGM images subsequent critical histopathological parameters. These quantitative parameters included melanin mass density (MMD), melanocyte dendricity score (MDS), melanophage (MPD), thickness dermal papilla zone (DPZ). The statistical results 33 recruited Asian female patients showed that MMD, MDS, MPD lesions were significantly higher than those surrounding normal skin; by contrast, DPZ was lower. After treatment, MPD, restored toward level; however, observed no significant change MDS. Our study indicates these are able serve as clinical indices characteristics

Label-Free Determination of Hemodynamic Parameters in the Microcirculaton with Third Harmonic Generation Microscopy

Determination of blood flow velocity and related hemodynamic parameters is an important aspect of physiological studies which in many settings requires fluorescent labeling. Here we show that Third Harmonic Generation (THG) microscopy is a suitable tool for label-free intravital investigations of the microcirculation in widely-used physiological model systems. THG microscopy is a non-fluorescen...

Label-free live brain imaging and targeted patching with third-harmonic generation microscopy.

The ability to visualize neurons inside living brain tissue is a fundamental requirement in neuroscience and neurosurgery. Especially the development of a noninvasive probe of brain morphology with micrometer-scale resolution is highly desirable, as it would provide a noninvasive approach to optical biopsies in diagnostic medicine. Two-photon laser-scanning microscopy (2PLSM) is a powerful tool...

Designing a Label Free Aptasensor for Detection of Methamphetamine

A label-free electrochemical nucleic acid aptasensor for the detection of methamphetamine (MA) by the immobilization of thiolated self-assembled DNA sequences on a gold nanoparticles-chitosan modified electrode is constructed. When MA was complexed specifically to the aptamer, the configuration of the nucleic acid aptamer switched to a locked structure and the interface of the biosensor changed...

Label-free imaging of Schwann cell myelination by third harmonic generation microscopy.

Understanding the dynamic axon-glial cell interaction underlying myelination is hampered by the lack of suitable imaging techniques. Here we demonstrate third harmonic generation microscopy (THGM) for label-free imaging of myelinating Schwann cells in live culture and ex vivo and in vivo tissue. A 3D structure was acquired for a variety of compact and noncompact myelin domains, including juxtap...

Label-free imaging of Drosophila larva by multiphoton autofluorescence and second harmonic generation microscopy.

The fruit fly Drosophila melanogaster is one of the most valuable organisms in studying genetics and developmental biology. To gain insight into Drosophila development, we successfully acquired label-free, in vivo images of both developing muscles and internal organs in a stage 2 larva using the minimally invasive imaging modality of multiphoton autofluorescence (MAF) and second harmonic genera...
